Racers,
After a true test & tune the organization had a chance to asses the existing class structure. SCminiGP took assessment of supported classes, unsupported classes, members who did not ride or arrive, and a few other parameters.
The decision has been made that the Amatuer Senior will be dropped for 2007. The class may reappear as new ridrs join but will be pulled from the official class structure. In its place an 80 Vet class will be added to our series for the 2007 championship. Although the member head count does not currently support more than 10 classes at this moment, SCminiGP expects growth. Rider interest and rider commitment to supporting both the 80GP & 80V to build momentum gives SCminiGP faith the two will survive. Most race classes tested had a significant amount of support. Although the 80V was not a tested class, per the endorsement from Danny Selves - Customer Relations Director, President Josiah Taulbee agreed to give the class a chance under specific conditions. Danny has agreed to help work with the riders who were asking for the new class to meet his requests to keep the class on the grid.
The new class will run the 80GP specifications. The class will be open to riders of 25+ or 170lbs. All 80V riders will be required to enter in the 80GP until the class can successfuly substain itself, at which the double entry requirement will be removed.
If anybody has any questions regarding this new class, or its requirements please contact Danny Selves at 909-335-5483 or danny@scminigp.com.
