In an effort to improve scoring and provide riders accurate timing data at all SCminiGP events in 2008, SCminiGP will be supplying working with AMB it scoring systems. We understand the expense of these transponders are not cheap, yet we consider the value of the transponders to be worth the expense in an effort to provide professionally run events.
As a courtesy to all riders SCminiGP will not enforce transponder scoring until the middle of the season. This means that the scoring will continue to be done by hand to give members a chance to gather funds for the purchase. We realize that some familys will need to buy more than one transponder and do not want to create any burden on finances.
Please be aware:
SCminiGP will purchase the system before the seasons starts. The use of the system (excluding race scoring) will be available to those who wish to take advantage of its benefits. We encourage those who race with us to take advantage of the mylaps.com program. In the event that all riders in the class can provide transponders, the staff will acknowledge and activate the use of transonder for scoring prior to the middle of the season as long as all the riders give SCminiGP permission.
SCminiGP will have transonders for rent. The transponders are property of Calspeed Karting and have yet to have a price determined for rental. There are a limited supply of transponders that will be available so we encourage.
