SCminiGP will be awarding 1 Youth Intro Course ($150 value) to the winner of the Fastest Lap Contest. The contest will be held at Long Beach IMS in Long Beach, California on December 7th-9th, 2007. Contestants will be playing the MotoGP 07 video game to try and set the fastest lap time using Nicky Haden's #1 MotoGP bike on the famous Laguna Seca racetrack. Each participant will be given a minimum of 3 laps to set their best time. The winner will be contacted by phone or e-mail after Long Beach IMS has completed. The contest is open to boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 12 who are not members of SCminiGP or who have not previously raced with SCminiGP. Parent permission is required.
The Youth Intro Course consists of 2 hours of training with SCminiGP instructors. Bike and gear are provided. The course covers basic riding skills including throttle and brake usage and basic turning. The Youth Intro Course gives parents and children a chance to experience pocketbike riding in a controlled environment prior to signing up for a season with SCminiGP.
